SMS Verification Process

Recently, U.S. cell carriers began aggressively filtering text messages in an effort to reduce spam. Unfortunately, these filters block many messages that are not spam, such as texts from NEW Reputation Builder accounts or locations.

We work with all carriers to verify new toll-free numbers. Verification allows messages to bypass filters. Typically, it takes 1-2 business days to verify a new toll-free number before they lift the filter. During this time, you will see reduced deliverability.

​Recommendation when adding new locations or enabling SMS for the first time:
​Activate TextBack

  • Click the link at the top of the business location address. Under TextBack Number click Activate

  • Slide the toggle to Activate TextBack

  • Save Settings

If you do not complete the above verification step, you will likely not be able to send SMS Feedback Requests as your messages will be filtered as spam.
