What is the Relative Review Score?

The Relative Review Score reflects how a business’s review profile (both quantity and quality) compares to its competitors within a specific ranking grid.

A score of 100% indicates that the business has the highest combined rating and review count among all competitors in that grid.

Our algorithm assigns:

  • Up to 50 points based on average rating

  • Up to 50 points based on total review count (relative to competitors)

However, if a business has a perfect 5.0 rating, we subtract 2 points from the rating portion. Why? Watch Darren on this topic:
